Keeping My Body Fit and Healthy with BODi

A Christmas Wish For You

Two of my biggest heroes are George Bailey from the movie, “It’s A Wonderful Life” and John Beresford Tipton from the TV series, “The Millionaire” (yes, I used to watch it). As you read this, don’t be disappointed if Michael Anthony isn’t knocking on your door, because right about now I am waiting for my “Clarence” to appear, but I do have two stories that I want to share, both involving envelopes.

The first is about the two envelopes mentioned by Napoleon Hill when he talks about his interview with Andrew Carnegie. If you don’t know the story of Napoleon Hill (it’s extraordinary), you can click here. The part of his story that I want to relate is when, in 1908, as a young reporter, he interviewed the wealthy industrialist, Andrew Carnegie.   There is actually a YouTube video of Napoleon Hill talking about the interview and I would be thrilled if you could watch it as my gift to you. To watch the video, click here.

In the interview, Andrew Carnegie tells Napoleon Hill that everyone comes to this earth blessed with the privilege to control his mind power and direct it to whatever ends he may choose. He went on to say that at birth, we are basically given two sealed envelopes. One is the riches you may enjoy if you take possession of your own mind and the other is the penalties you must pay if you fail to take possession of your own mind.

My wish for all of you is that you can enjoy the benefits of the first envelope, which are sound health, peace of mind, a labor of love of your own choice, freedom from fear and worry, a positive mental attitude and material riches of your own choice and quantity.

As the final days of this season wind down, there is another story of an envelope that I would like you to read. It is about Mike, a guy who hated the the commercial aspects of the holiday season – the overspending, the frantic running around at the last minute to get a tie for Uncle Harry and the dusting powder for Grandma, the gifts given in desperation because you couldn’t think of anything else. It’s a wonderful story and if you would like to read it, please click here.

And finally, below is my holiday card for all of you and my not so secret wish for you for your best year ever in 2010!

Happy Holidays
