Keeping My Body Fit and Healthy with BODi

Finish or Fail?

New York City is the city that never sleeps and I am the coach that never sleeps. I am relentless in working toward the goals of Team Beachbody and labor with integrity, sincerity and a deep sense of faith in what is right and in the opportunity that has been given to me to serve you.

I recently changed all of my profile pictures on Team Beachbody, social media and our blogs to a photo that contains the word “Finish”. It is from the 1997 Philadelphia Independence Marathon and what it represents is finishing what I set out to do. At that time, I was still suffering from CFIDS (chronic fatigue immune deficiency syndrome) and couldn’t run the miles that I needed to to train for the marathon and a qualifying time for Boston. Instead, I rode my mountain bike on nearby trails and did 3 hour rides to mimic the duration of the marathon.

When race day came, I determined that I would do a 20 mile run followed by a 10 K race. My time had to be under 3:20:00 and I ran 3:19:04. I finished what I set out to do.

Now I have tasks before me that are far more challenging than that marathon or anything else I have ever done. I must finish what I have set out to do. The choice is between finish or fail.

Are you facing similar challenges in your life? Is failure still an option or are you going to see things through to the finish. The rewards are great for those who prevail in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. My faith sees me to my finish lines. Are you willing to do what it takes to get to yours? Do you have the faith that will carry through…
