Keeping My Body Fit and Healthy with BODi

Are You Okay With Aging?

The reason that I ask is that I am not.   When you are 61 Shakeology Flavors and have a 7 and 5 year old and they are doing   running club at school and you are coaching, Girls Scouts and you have to be a Girl Scout to help out with all of their activities (please don’t tell anyone that) and soccer on the weekends – ageing is not an option.   I need to have a sharp mind, fit body and live a long life just in order to be able to see them get married and have grandchildren and to be a fit and healthy Grandpa!

What am I doing about it? Working out at least six days a week, eating a plant based diets since I finished the Ultimate Reset in the middle of May, drinking Shakeology at least once a day and often twice, taking Cordastra every day and constantly writing and speaking about, and living, the Beachbody lifestyle.

But enough of what I do.   What are you doing to be with your kids and grandkids and to have the quality of lie that will allow you to enjoy them and be a part of their lives as much as possible?

Yesterday, I saw this headline in an article online, “Americans Exercise About 2 Hours a Week; Fall Short of Recommended 4 Hours” and found it pretty shocking in consideration of at least two things – (1) “The United States is the fattest country in the world,” according to CDC researcher Geoffrey Godbey and “There are 168 hours in a week. If Americans sleep eight hours each day and work 40-hour weeks, that leaves 72 hours to work out. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that we devote four of those to exercise.”   The Ultimate Reset Translation:   out of the possible numbers that we could work out, the average per person in the US is only 2 hours a week.   That is not a get fit, be healthy, live a long life plan.   That sounds like a plan to fuel the obesity epidemic!

The article goes on to say, “First, we live in an automobile culture,” Godbey said. “Second, we are almost addicted to television and computers. Third, our society is aging. Fourth, a lot of physical activities, such as hockey and tennis, can be expensive to participate in because of the gear and memberships they require, gyms are not readily available for general exercisers and are costly and finally, because of crime, some people are afraid to leave their homes to go out for a walk or a run.”

At least some of those excuses we don’t have – we work out at home to one of the countless Beachbody workout DVD’s and our gyms are not expensive.   In fact, we never have to pay a gym membership or leave the house to work out if we don’t want to!

So if you are okay with ageing and being average, then 2 hours a week of exercise a week is what you should keep doing.   But if you are not and you want a zesty life into old age, then throw your excuses out the window and get on the Beachbody bullet train to sucess.   I did and I absolutely love the ride!
