The four marathons of life require 104.8 years to complete. I am in my third marathon of life and want to finish strong so I can take on the fourth with a good chance of completing it. I started running on September 1st, 1966, played some soccer when I lived in Latin America, and embraced strength training when I became a Team Beachbody Coach.
I never drank, smoked, or did drugs, and I eat a vegan/vegetarian diet, so that helps, but I have experienced an inordinate amount of stress. Thankfully, I take no prescription medications and only B-12 and Vitamin D3 to supplement my diet.
I very recently read Bryan Johnson’s story and learned about Blueprint. I watched “Don’t Die” on Netflix and have watched numerous YouTube videos and find the idea very compelling. To date, I have embraced taking a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in the morning, and I have started stretching during my runs, which, of course, helps loosen up my end of the third quarter body!
I still have a lot to learn, and I will keep sharing here to let you know what else I have embraced and how I am doing finishing my third marathon of life.
Below is me completing my third actual marathon in 1994!
