There is no fanfare. I just started running 60 years ago today at the Raritan Valley Country Club golf course. To mark the anniversary, I ran past and on a local golf course. I started at a park and continued on a trail heading west along the golf course’s fence. When the fence ended, there was a sign that said No Pets, and I assumed that meant you couldn’t walk your dog along the course. I asked some golfers if they knew whether I could run along the edge of the golf course, and then stopped at the clubhouse to ask. There was no one to ask, so I went onto the paved path around the golf course, satisfied that I had recreated September 1st, 1966, to the best of my ability. Now onto the next milestone!
