I Love Coaching

How I Came To Love Coaching

I began coaching with one runner in 1983 and it was more of a mutually supportive training partnership.  I then started  running with a group of runners in Princeton, NJ.  Part of that group came to rely on me to provide the workouts for our Tuesday and Sunday runs.  Not long after that, I coached at two different high schools and then started personal training in 1995.  It was in that same year that I started my website, Howtobefit.com.  After that, I moved to New Mexico where I ultimately started coaching the NextStepRunning team.  I remained with the team until my second daughter was born in 2006 and then it became too much to go to all of the practices and meets.

From Running to Fitness and Health

On January 8th, 2007, I became a Team Beachbody Coach and the rest is history as they say.  As a Team Beachbody coach I was able to work from home and take care of my then 3  and 1 year old daughters.  I came full circle with coaching.  When I was single and running at my best, coaching runners fit into my lifestyle the best.  But when marriage and children came along and my family was everything to me, my priorities shifted.  Team Beachbody became the best opportunity for me to put my family first and to make a great income from home helping people to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Past and Present

Then and now.  Grace was a baby and Carly wasn’t born yet when I was coaching the NextStepRunning team.

Now with a 6th grader and a 4th grader who never had to go to day care or after school programs, I can still say, “I love coaching” and it is because of the Team Beachbody opportunity that I can continue coaching and raising my family.
