Although I became a Team Beachbody Coach on January 8th, 2007, Beachbody became BODi on March 2nd, 2023 so this new training log starts with that Day One for Rich Dafter as a BODi Coach.
I have been running for 56 years, using Polar heart rate training for 36 years, and have been with Beachbody/BODi for 16 years. I am 72, train basically 7 days a week, I am a plant-based athlete, and a single dad raising two teenage daughters on his own. I drink Energize before every workout and Chocolate Plant-Based Shakeology throughout the day every day. I started the new BODi Blocks program on March 6th and I am currently doing the March All BODi Block. I have also had a no restrictions pacemaker for low heart rate since June 1st, 2021.

Fourteen years ago today, I did my first “field test” with Shakeology. It became available to order on March 16th, 2009 and my order arrived on March 20th. I tried it before a workout for the first time the next day, which was a Saturday, and here is my blog post from my run that morning. To celebrate, I think that I will make these Birthday Cake Energy Balls!
