Guiding You to Your Optimum Quality of Life

Commit to Your Health Through the Holidays and Your Life

Holiday time often brings circumstances that could sabotage our nutrition and fitness programs. Family and friend gatherings, special events, vacations, more stress, and busier than normal schedules all can lead to a lack of motivation to exercise and temptations to indulge in unhealthy eating. Challenges arrive throughout life, but there is no good reason to let your health programs suffer or discontinue. Health is our first priority for ourselves and our loved ones.

Make a commitment this holiday season and throughout the year to live your best life using daily discipline and goal setting. We all need motivation to continue through a healthy lifestyle. Setting a goal and deciding your health is the top priority is step number one. Write down your goals, plan ahead, and define what you want to achieve…lose weight, gain muscle, increase energy, tone up, look better, feel better, reduce stress, etc. Visualize yourself as happier and healthier, and commit to attaining your goals no matter what gets in the way. Your motivation will continue once you experience results of feeling and looking great.

Design a plan for improved health that provides proper nutrition and exercise. Find a fitness program that you enjoy, set a time to workout each day, discuss with your family the importance of maintaining this program, and then do it. Exercise can be fun, you just have to look at all your options and select a program that will help you achieve your goals. I’ve always enjoyed and succeeded with home fitness programs. Beachbody programs are highly effective and there are many to choose from depending on your goals. Some of my favorite Beachbody programs are P90X,   Brazil Butt Lift, Hip Hop Abs, ChaLean Extreme and TurboFire. After every workout, I always feel better than when I started. As for nutrition, there is nothing more important than fueling your body with proper foods in combinations for the best nutritional power. Eat healthy meals and snacks, including Shakeology, every 2-3 hours(5 total per day) and drink at least 64 ounces of water to give your body and mind its nutritional needs. My husband and I are hooked on Shakeology for its taste and amazing health benefits we experience every day. Don’t go extreme in “dieting”, but just maintain a healthy eating routine knowing you will feel your best when followed. You shouldn’t feel the need to overindulge if you are eating good foods every 2-3 hours maintaining blood sugar levels, metabolism and brain power.

Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean one extreme or the other with fitness and nutrition. You can still enjoy some of your favorite treats every once in a while. If you have to skip a workout, get back to it the next day. Set your mind to think that you are not denying yourself all of your favorite foods or dreading exercise. This is your life getting better! Build a passion with your goals and commitment to start and continue on your journey to your best life. If you need help with nutrition or meal planning, I could help by directing you to what Team Beachbody offers with their programs.
