{"id":910,"date":"2010-03-01T19:55:36","date_gmt":"2010-03-02T02:55:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/?p=910"},"modified":"2010-03-01T19:59:35","modified_gmt":"2010-03-02T02:59:35","slug":"should-i-take-the-rest-day-completely-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/2010\/03\/01\/should-i-take-the-rest-day-completely-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Should I take the rest day completely off?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s a question that I just received from someone doing Power 90. \u00a0 The person was unemployed and trying to push himself into getting in better shape and doing cardio on his day off. \u00a0 Here is my response:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is always risk when you do too much but knowing what too much is  can be tricky. \u00a0 Technically, you should take the day off and rest both  physically and psychologically and your body should need it and benefit from  it. \u00a0 But, for some, taking a day off simply doesn&#8217;t fit their psychological  profile and is counterproductive. \u00a0 I&#8217;m 59 and I fit that profile and I train 7  days a week. \u00a0 I did pay the price just recently with a sore hamstring from a training mistake that has  hampered my training since. \u00a0 Was it worth it to train 7 days a week for so long  before that?
