Here are a few simple tips to help you keep your fit goals on track this\u00a0Christmastime.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Instead of saying yes to every Secret Santa, pot luck dinner, and holiday happy hour you\u2019re invited to, pick and choose the events you\u2019ll enjoy most.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will overall create less stress,\u201d says Stephanie Mansour, personal trainer and owner of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stepitupwithsteph.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Step It Up with Steph<\/a>\u00a0in Chicago. Plus it\u2019ll free up your calendar a bit, so you actually have time to squeeze in some holiday fitness.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Scale Back Your Workouts<\/h2>\n<p>Avoid the all-or-nothing approach when it comes to holiday fitness. If you don\u2019t have time for your usual workout routine during the\u00a0hectic holiday season, cut yourself some slack and schedule shorter, less intense\u00a0workouts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLess-intense workouts mean you\u2019ll be less intimidated to actually start them, and shorter workouts mean you\u2019ll be able to schedule them more easily in your calendar,\u201d Mansour says.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Put Fitness on the Calendar<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-152323 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/bod-blog-assets.prod.cd.beachbodyondemand.com\/bod-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/29124845\/workout-plan.jpeg\" alt=\"workout plan notebook | holiday fitness\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to overcommit over the holidays \u2014 and when you feel like you have zero spare time, your\u00a0fitness goals\u00a0can end up on the back burner.<\/p>\n<p>Leave some wiggle room in your schedule so it\u2019s easier to find time for fitness. \u201cDon\u2019t schedule things back-to-back,\u201d Mansour says. Instead of bouncing straight from work to a holiday party, for example, schedule a short break in between \u2014 then use that time to do a\u00a010-minute workout\u00a0or a few quick\u00a0core exercises.<\/p>\n<p>Better yet, block out time for workouts\u00a0<em>before<\/em>\u00a0you start filling your calendar with holiday obligations \u2014 and write in what workout you\u2019ll do so you don\u2019t get stuck in decision mode.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Focus on Adding Healthy Foods<\/h2>\n<p>We know Christmas cookies and\u00a0holiday cocktails\u00a0aren\u2019t typically the healthiest options. But telling yourself \u201cno\u201d over and over again can get pretty exhausting \u2014 and deflating.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of operating in deprivation mode, focus on\u00a0<em>adding<\/em>\u00a0healthy foods that will fuel your holiday fitness goals \u2014 like an extra serving of veggies at brunch or some protein with your grandma\u2019s pasta dinner. \u201cBy focusing on what you\u00a0<em>can<\/em>\u00a0have, you\u2019ll be in the mindset to do healthier things for yourself,\u201d Mansour says. \u201cAdd things in and feel good about what you\u2019re doing for your body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And if you want to check both the \u201chealthy\u201d\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>\u201ctreat\u201d boxes simultaneously,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/click-myl.ink\/yckj6ucm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shakeology<\/a>\u00a0offers dense nutrition\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0versatility.\u00a0Enjoy shakes, \u201cice cream,\u201d pies and more\u00a0while fueling your body with superfood nutrients at the same time.<\/p>\n<h2>5.
