Break the snooze cycle<\/h2>\n<p>Your alarm goes off and you\u2019re not quite ready to leave your comfy bed, so you tap \u201csnooze.\u201d A lot.<\/p>\n<p>But what are you actually getting out of those five (or 15) minutes of just lying there?<\/p>\n<p>Another option: Use that time to meditate in bed.<\/p>\n<p>Even\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beachbodyondemand.com\/blog\/10-minute-meditation?referringrepid=1393\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a short meditation has benefits<\/a>\u00a0like boosting emotional resiliency and improving focus for taking on your day.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Plan and prioritize<\/h2>\n<p>Make your morning routine productive by using it to schedule out the rest of your day and make time-saving decisions like what you\u2019re having for lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Your morning routine can propel the rest of your day forward.<\/p>\n<h2>8. Rethink screen time<\/h2>\n<p>One major hurdle to morning productivity is getting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beachbodyondemand.com\/blog\/how-to-reduce-screen-time?referringrepid=1393\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sucked into social media<\/a>\u00a0from the moment you wake up.<\/p>\n<p>If you feel compelled to check your socials in the morning, set a timer around how much time you want to devote to liking pics and funny dog videos.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Keep expectations realistic<\/h2>\n<p>You want to find a balance between a morning routine and a morning relay race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot everyone is a morning person, so be gentle with yourself if you are trying to start a new habit,\u201d says Kitley. \u201cChoose something that excites you versus something you feel you \u2018should\u2019 do. If exercising in the morning isn\u2019t your thing, don\u2019t force it.
