{"id":4201,"date":"2017-11-14T16:30:46","date_gmt":"2017-11-14T23:30:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/?p=4201"},"modified":"2025-09-11T16:17:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T22:17:44","slug":"wasted-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/2017\/11\/14\/wasted-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Wasted Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wasted time.  \u00a0At my age, every minute counts and I want every one of them to be productive and to bear fruit.<\/p>\n<p>Washing dishes is wasted time unless I do something at the same time and that means watching running videos on YouTube.  \u00a0In their selection for me this afternoon was the motivational movie, &#8220;Wasted Time&#8221; by Greg Unger.  \u00a0It was fitting that I watch it.<\/p>\n<p>I have watched it before, but motivation is something that I think that we all need and in my case, also want to share.  \u00a0Greg Unger has a story that I will share below, but watch the video, too, and be inspired and motivated to see how far you can go&#8230;<\/p>\n<div>They Laughed&#8230;<\/div>\n<p>They laughed at me when I said I wanted to start running at 315lbs&#8230;<br \/>\nThey laughed when I said I would drop the weight to do it&#8230;<br \/>\nThey told me after the cancer and arthritis and tearing the ligament completely off my ankle that I would never run distances over 5 miles&#8230;<br \/>\nThey laughed when I said how inspired I was by ultrarunning&#8230;<br \/>\nThey laughed when I said I would do a marathon&#8230;<\/p>\n<div>They will laugh at you&#8230;<\/div>\n<p>315lbs to 195lbs in 6 months to do my first marathon in 2011.<br \/>\n2 Ironmans &#8211; St. George and Hawaii Ironman World Championships in 2011<br \/>\n150+ Marathons and Ultramarathons over 2012, 2013, 2014<br \/>\n1st Place in multiple Ultrarunning Races.<br \/>\n123 Mile Run &#8211; New Years Ever 2014<br \/>\nThe warm up is over&#8230;<br \/>\nLet them laugh&#8230;<br \/>\nOnly those who risk going too far&#8230; Can ever possibly know..
