{"id":4037,"date":"2017-07-12T14:44:06","date_gmt":"2017-07-12T21:44:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/?p=4037"},"modified":"2019-07-25T13:15:04","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T20:15:04","slug":"parasympathetic-nervous-system-means","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/2017\/07\/12\/parasympathetic-nervous-system-means\/","title":{"rendered":"Parasympathetic Nervous System &#8211; What It Means To You"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was not a good day for me to work out.  \u00a0Each morning, before anything else, I do a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polar.com\/us-en\/smart_coaching\/features\/orthostatic_test\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Polar orthostatic test<\/a> with my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B01FRBB53M\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B01FRBB53M&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=howtobefit-20&amp;linkId=22b56d2dda9b100571954fce79ea7168\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Polar V800<\/a> and then I do a heart rate variability test with the Elite HRV app.  \u00a0Today I was a &#8220;5&#8221; with abnormally elevated parasympathetic activity.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/terms\/parasympathetic_nervous_system.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Science Daily<\/a>, &#8220;The <b>parasympathetic nervous system<\/b> is one of three divisions of the autonomic nervous system.
