{"id":4006,"date":"2017-07-04T17:16:26","date_gmt":"2017-07-05T00:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/?p=4006"},"modified":"2017-12-30T08:39:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-30T15:39:03","slug":"simple-shakeology-energy-balls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/2017\/07\/04\/simple-shakeology-energy-balls\/","title":{"rendered":"Simple Shakeology Energy Balls"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>After looking through a bunch of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shakeology.com\/howtobefit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shakeology<\/a> \u00a0energy balls recipes, I finally found <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/chocolate-shakeology-peanut-butter-oat-cookies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one<\/a> that I had most of the ingredients for.  \u00a0Instead of leaving a carbon footprint and going to the store, I decided to wing it and make up my own recipe.  \u00a0It has four ingredients and you may have \u00a0them on hand.  \u00a0I am freezing them and taking them on my runs in a baggie so that I don&#8217;t have to touch them when they are defrosted.  \u00a0In the future, I may roll them in flax meal so that they are dry on the outside.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4010 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-010.jpg\" alt=\"Shakeology Energy Balls Ingredients\" width=\"734\" height=\"979\" srcset=\"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-010.jpg 734w, https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-010-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Shakeology Energy Balls Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">1 ripe banana (not shown)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">1 scoop of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shakeology.com\/howtobefit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chocolate Shakeology<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">3\/4 peanut butter (or other nut butter)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">1 cup old fashioned oats<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">How I made them<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I mashed the ripe banana thoroughly<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I added the peanut butter (I didn&#8217;t measure but it looked like 1\/2 &#8211; 3\/4 cup)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I added the 1 scoop of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shakeology.com\/howtobefit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chocolate Shakeology<\/a> and mixed everything thoroughly<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I added the 1 cup of old fashioned oat meal and mixed until blended<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I used the fork to pick up enough to make into a ball, placed them on the plate and then put the plate in the freezer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Makes about a dozen or so.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4009 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-007-2-799x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Shakeology Energy Balls\" width=\"799\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-007-2-799x1024.jpg 799w, https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-007-2-234x300.jpg 234w, https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/iPhone-Pictures-007-2-768x985.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Update:  \u00a0I&#8217;ve used them on my trail runs multiple times and they work great.  \u00a0They aren&#8217;t messy and the ingredients provide that period boost of energy during the run.  \u00a0To learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shakeology.com\/howtobefit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shakeology<\/a> and how you can use it in other recipes, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shakeology.com\/howtobefit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After looking through a bunch of Shakeology \u00a0energy balls recipes, I finally found one that I had most of the ingredients for. \u00a0Instead of leaving a carbon footprint and going to the store, I decided to wing it and make up my own recipe. \u00a0It has four ingredients and you may have \u00a0them on hand.
