{"id":1756,"date":"2011-04-14T11:36:13","date_gmt":"2011-04-14T18:36:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/?p=1756"},"modified":"2019-09-05T14:57:35","modified_gmt":"2019-09-05T21:57:35","slug":"10-time-savers-to-help-you-find-time-to-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/howtobefit.com\/coach-blog\/2011\/04\/14\/10-time-savers-to-help-you-find-time-to-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"10 Time Savers to Help You Find Time to Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"post-body-1409036287036199286\">I&#8217;ve been wanting to write this post for a while now. \u00a0 But didn&#8217;t have the time LOL! \u00a0 Seriously, I get so many people who tell me they really want to get in shape, but the number one excuse is not having the time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Of course I feel that you should always make time to take care of your body. \u00a0 But I know that a few of you out there still think its better to have a spotless sink, or a squeaky clean floor \u00a0than a healthy body.<\/p>\n<p>So here are some tricks that I use in order to find time to exercise. \u00a0 Look, I have 4 kids and a husband that has a crazy schedule. \u00a0 So if I can find the time, I think you might be able to as well.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Keep a daily goals list\/to-do list and place exercise on that list. \u00a0 I noticed if I don&#8217;t have a list, things don&#8217;t get done. \u00a0 I forget about it. \u00a0 But lately I&#8217;ve made coming up with a list the night before a priority. \u00a0 everything goes on the list. \u00a0 Including exercise.<\/li>\n<li>Meal plan for the week. \u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t need to be elaborate, but if you have a good idea of what meals you&#8217;re making for the week, this helps save time and money. \u00a0 A great place to find healthy meal plans is at Team Beachbody. \u00a0 You can <a href=\"https:\/\/teambeachbody.com\/signup\/-\/signup\/club?referringRepId=37971\">click here to sign up<\/a>. For $2.99 per week you can get meal plans for the week and shopping lists too.<\/li>\n<li>Buy in bulk when you can. \u00a0 Nothing takes up more time than going to the store for a missing item, whether that is toilet paper or chicken breasts. \u00a0 You can save money too by doing this.<\/li>\n<li>Cook in bulk. \u00a0 Grill up a few pounds of chicken breast or veggies. \u00a0 Cook a big batch of sauce in the crock pot. \u00a0 Refrigerate or freeze in good containers. \u00a0 You can just heat up and add a side dish, or use it on top of salads or in sandwiches and wraps.<\/li>\n<li>If your local food market offers it, take advantage of shop from home services. \u00a0 There is a fee for this, but I have found I actually save money because I don&#8217;t impulse buy, I sick to my list. \u00a0Plus it shaves off at least an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Invest in tools that help speed up your daily chores. \u00a0 If you can afford it, its worth purchasing certain time saving items. \u00a0 I love my Shark Steam Mop. \u00a0 I can clean my floors in under 20 minutes. \u00a0 And I have a lot of hardwood and tile.<\/li>\n<li>Enlist help from your kids. \u00a0 You don&#8217;t need to do everything for your kids. \u00a0 Have them clean their own rooms and make their own beds. \u00a0 Ask them to help with dinner and clean up. \u00a0 Have \u00a0the older ones \u00a0help get little ones ready. Team work can make things go much quicker.<\/li>\n<li>Drink a protein drink or smoothie. \u00a0 If you&#8217;re starving and don&#8217;t want to spend a lot of time cooking or preparing something, whip up a protein smoothie. \u00a0 I love <a href=\"http:\/\/shakeology.com\/fitwithjessica\">Shakeology<\/a> because at my lunch time Alexa is usually ready for her nap. \u00a0 So I don&#8217;t have time to think of something to eat. \u00a0 I just whip up a quick chocolate shake and know I&#8217;m getting a really healthy meal.<\/li>\n<li>Use a workout system that works. \u00a0 It can take a lot of time getting back and forth to the gym, checking kids into babysitting, and trying to figure out what you should do. \u00a0 Plus you can save a lot of money working out at home as opposed to having a gym membership that might be going to waste because its a hassle to get there. \u00a0 If you need help picking a good workout system out <a href=\"http:\/\/beachbodycoach.com\/fitwithjessica\">click here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Its okay to let your bed stay unmade for a day. \u00a0 Its actually good to air it out. \u00a0 Also, multitask when you can. \u00a0 Fold laundry and catch up on important phone calls. \u00a0 Or play with your kids while exercising. \u00a0 Have them join you. \u00a0 I&#8217;m planning on having my boys do the cardio only dvds of <a href=\"http:\/\/teambeachbody.com\/shop\/-\/shopping\/P90X?referringRepId=37971\">P90X<\/a> with me this summer. \u00a0 It will be a great way to bond with them, and they will get moving instead of sitting on the couch playing Wii.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Not all of these tips may be for you. \u00a0 Pick and choose which ones you could incorporate into your life. \u00a0 Investing time to exercise and eat right is one of the best investments you can make. \u00a0 Don&#8217;t wait, just start pushing play now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px;
