Don't Waste Your Time

I didn't write this, so if you were expecting me to, don't waste your time. As your Team Beachbody coach, though, my life revolves around sharing with you everything of interest that I find, everything useful that I've tried and everything that works that I have done. That's my responsibility . This is simply useful information for you from Seth Maris (who writes for Improve Your Life) and I hope that you read it. I read it this morning in Weekly Hustle.

Don't Waste Your Time

"There has always been this odd pull that the world seems to have on the 'average' success minded individual. The more time that goes by, the larger the gap grows between you and your ultimate goal. This is put on display well in the book "The Slight Edge". Although it's a great book, "The Slight Edge" is not what I have come to guest post about today. It’s those other things; those small minor things that in the grand scheme of things make a huge difference in how quickly we achieve success! They crush us and pin us down like some stealthy ninja in the night...they are time wasters!

Many of us realize we waste a ton of time throughout the day, but chose not to change the fact. Most of us, I would say, are aware of the majority of things that are time wasters to those of us that really want to succeed, but are we really? Did you realize that nearly twenty-two million people still play Farmville? Zynga is one of many app developers for Facebook, and yet well over two hundred forty seven million still have at least one Zynga app. These stats are mind boggling! If you are curious about other games and/or apps they can be found at www.appdata.com . I am not here to just point out video games or Facebook, but rather those general time wasters that often go unnoticed.

I recently posted on my own blog(www.improve-yourlife.blogspot.com) about how the amount of sleep we get can actually increase or decrease our lifespan. So, take this as my disclaimer. Sleep is important, but that being said often times sacrifices must be made in order to get what you want in life. If you have not already heard the following statistic, it may blow your mind; more than one-third of our lives are spent sleeping! That means while you were sleeping in on the weekend someone else was landing that big time job. While you were counting sheep and catching some ZzZ’s, the gap holding you back from success just grew, a lot! As success minded people we often need to have things put back into perspective for us. Success does not come with ease and it certainly never came while sleeping.

I hope this helped to better get someone refocused. As I have stated multiple times in my posts, if this helps just one person to improve a little in their life then I have done my job. I urge you not to be average. If you were to be average you will spend nearly 6 full years of your life eating (we are so fat). Be better than average. You deserve it! Your families deserve it! Doesn’t your future spouse deserve to have someone that is better than average? Think about it."

  • My very favorite group is our Challenge To Change 2012 group and that is a private group. It started out just like any other group but it has become a group of people that is so supportive and so inspiring to each other that I am very protective of the chemistry. You are more than welcome to be in it if you have a need for support and a willingness to give support. Just email me and I will add you.
